Modern Day Slavery
It is estimated that there are 40.3 Million people worldwide in some form of modern slavery. This includes 24.9 Million in forced labour and 15.4 Million in forced marriage. 70% of modern slavery victims around the world are thought to be women and girls.
Modern Slavery is real and Unseen UK is working to end slavery and supports survivors to rebuild their lives.
The Freedom Collection took inspiration from Unseen's Butterfly program, which builds the confidence and skills of women in Unseen's safe-house.'

Gynaecological Cancer
58 women a day are diagnosed with one of the five Gynaecological cancers (Cervical, Womb, Ovarian, Vaginal and Vulval) sadly 21 of these women will die a day from their gynaecological cancer.
I really hope that the vulva artwork used in the V Collection and designed by Teysha Wheeler-LeManski becomes a talking point and helps to raise awareness of gynae cancers and the importance of attending cervical screening (smear) tests.
10% from each V Collection sale is donated to The Eve Appeal 'the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers – ovarian, womb, cervical, vaginal and vulval.'
Endangered Turtles
Six out of the seven species of sea turtles are at risk of extinction. It is estimated that only 1 in every 1,000 sea turtle hatchlings make it to adulthood.
Turtles are at threat due to getting caught up in fishing gear, development along coastlines making it harder for female turtles to lay their eggs, being poached for their shells, eggs and meat and climate change causing sea levels to rise and intense storms destroying nesting beaches.
